Featured Event: Wedding Ceremony and Reception
Client: Jennifer and Andy
Location: Local winery
Guest Count: 153 (21 children)
Clients Request: To establish an upscale and elegant, yet casual “al fresco” dining experience, allowing guest to enjoy several different menu options and styles. Create a children’s area for dining, games, and play.
Dilemma: To keep a comfortable and steady flow of food and service within a structured time frame.
The PC Solution: The children’s area consisted of small chairs and tables for games and playtime, as well as a special menu designed just for them.
Using our “cart cuisines” and hor d'oeurves stations we designed a floor plan that allowed the guests to move easily from one cart location to another, casually dining and visiting with one another. The hor d’oeurves were passed and stationed, including a “caviar / vodka action cart” and the entrees were served from “small plate carts “. The different elements of the reception overlapped and seemed to melt one into the other, keeping a relaxed and casual atmosphere while maintaining an air of elegance throughout the evening. This wedding reception moved as if on silk from the ceremony to the caviar, from the small plate dining to the organized games played by young and old. For a perfect ending, guests were treated to a port and chocolate station as well as a cigar bar.
